Silas is really getting on my nerves. What is he?!?!?! It says in the beginning of the book and even on the cover flap that he is a "guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead."
- Okay, so he is not a human like Bod. But, he has Freedom of the Graveyard like Bod. And, he can leave the graveyard.
- He disappears in a poof of velvet and appears about the same way.
- It is once mentioned that he crawls down from the top of the chapel after he sleeps and he only eats one thing.
Once Again! What is he?

I am wondering the same exact question. Silas is portrayed as the most myterious person in this book. Is he good or is he bad? I cant wait to read on and find out!
Halie i love this blog. It asks all the same questions that i have been wondering about, but i like how you asked it. I really have came to the conclusion that he is a vampire, but again who really knows. We can only take guesses and wait to see what happens. :)
Haha, your blog is so true. Well, it tells in the book that he's a vampire, but you really can't tell if he's good or bad. He seems kind of mysterious to me. But we can just read on and find out :D
Great blog about Silas. I don't really understand how he is a vampire yet, that's if he is. Silas really confuses me, just like he confuses you Halie. If he is a vampire, i wonder if Bod will ever find out? I hope Bod does, so he knows who or what Silas really is.
